Homogeneous Catalysis
Homogeneous catalysis is a branch of catalyst-mediated reactions where the catalysts and the reactants are in the same phase, i.e., both in the liquid phase or gas phase. These catalysts are often organometallic compounds, metal phosphine complexes or enzymes. Some well-known examples of such homogeneous catalysis reactions include:
- hydroformylation
- hydrogenation
- Ziegler-Natta polymerization and hydrogenation
- Enzymes homogeneous catalysts
